Release for Volunteers Handling Animals

The animals in our care that you may be handling are NOT KNOWN to have bitten or scratched a person in the past, or known to have attempted to bite/snap. However we do not always know their history, so we assume that some circumstance could have happened in the past to cause this reaction. If it did, this behavior may or may not have been provoked. We cannot promise that similar behavior by this animal may or will not occur again. Some breeds of animals are more likely to snap or bite children than others. So we urge caution in your handling and care of all PetConnect animals that you may be working with on our behalf. We urge you to be particularly careful with all animals in the presence of children.

Representatives of PetConnect will always be available for consultation regarding any animal you handle, and can provide some training tips to help in your work with us. In consideration for your acceptance into the Volunteer Network by PetConnect, Inc. the undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless PetConnect, Inc. and its agents, servants, and employees from and against all liabilities, claims, demands, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, for personal injury or property damage or other expense caused by any PetConnect animal and agrees to defend PetConnect, Inc. and its agents, servants and employees in any action or suit brought against it as a result of any PetConnect animal. THIS AGREEMENT TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS IS ALSO APPLICABLE TO ACTS, OMISIONS, AND/OR NEGLIGENCE BY OR ON BEHALF OF PETCONNECT, INC. AND ITS AGENTS, SERVANTS, AND EMPLOYEES.
